In today’s challenging economy, we find a record number of families turning to food banks. Bruno’s Pro Bone O Pet Pantry, NFP,is a newly founded 501 (C)(3) food bank for pets, a pet food bank. In an effort to keep pets in their homes, Bruno’s Pantry collects and distributes pet food, on a temporary basis, for the cherished pets living with the elderly, disabled and low income families in need of a little extra assistance.


Because current rules prohibit using food stamps on pet food, pets often go hungry. Some people will choose to feed their pets instead of themselves. After hearing stories of people going hungry just to feed their pets, the idea for Bruno’s Pantry took shape. We here at Bruno’s Pantry believe that no one should be forced to choose to buy food for themselves or buy food for the family pet for who is sometimes the only source of comfort.
